Hello, my name is Meera Pawary. I was born in a Hindu family. My father was a doctor in the army. I am the fifth child of my family and because I was a girl my family was not happy with me. At the age of nine because of polio I was unable to walk. According to Hinduism, disability comes because of the sins of the previous life; and this is why I started thinking that I was a sinner. My life became full of pain, depression, and hopelessness. To receive the forgiveness of my sins I started to study the Hindu religious books such as the Ramayana and the Gita. I started doing meditation and started to go to many Gurus but there was nothing I could find for the forgiveness of sin.
One day I saw a vision and in that vision I saw a book in which was written “This is the book of life”. Your name is not written in this book (I started to ask death from god), you have to do so many things. One day someone gave me the Bible. I started reading the Bible and I came to know Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day and I accepted the Lord as my Savior. As a result of becoming a Christian I have faced so many problems from my family because of my faith in Jesus. God is faithful and he protected me and comforted me all these years.
According to the Lords’ vision I joined YWAM and started a small prayer tower in MHOW. I spend my days in prayer and intercession. With the help of the YWAM staff I also travel and share my testimoney in different places with Hindus. and that is why I have come to Mhow. If God is willing, I want to someday start a home for handicap children and help them to grow in the Lord.
